ICOFF-GASTEIZ, the Vitoria-Gasteiz International Short Film Festival, will hold its fourth edition from May 18 to 23, 2026 at the new headquarters of the VITAL FOUNDATION, ARKABIA.
This is a film festival that combines a state short film competition and the exhibition of award-winning, nominated or participating short films from the best film festivals in the world and from international Spanish short film festivals.
ICOFF-GASTEIZ returns to the capital of Euskadi with the help of VITAL FUNDAZIOA and VITORIA-GASTEIZ CITY COUNCIL, IDARTE and GASTEIZ ON collaborate.
A festival co-directed by filmmakers and cultural agents from Álava, SONIA PACIOS and KEPA SOJO.
KEY FEATURES OF THE FESTIVAL
INTERNATIONALITY
The aim is to bring the best short films from around the world to the people of Vitoria-Gasteiz and Álava, while also showcasing national and local Basque and Álava films. It is the only international film festival in the province.
GIVING A VOICE TO AUDIOVISUAL CREATORS
The filmmakers of the selected short films are invited to present their works and discuss the peculiarities of their work with the public at the end of the screenings.
PROMOTION OF VITORIA GASTEIZ AND ÁLAVA
The city and province have hosted film shoots in recent years. We must promote the iconic and unique locations of our region to visiting filmmakers to attract new productions.
