OTHER ACTIVITIES
In addition to the screenings and the seminars after them, we have organized 2 parallel activities related to cinema aimed at the general public and the students of middle and university schools in the city. One of the activities is a scriptwriting workshop for TV series taught by the screenwriter Paula Fernádez Membibre, organized by APIKA. The other is a talk with Pilar Sánchez Díaz, director of photography, producer and member of the official jury of ICOFF 2024.

Paula Fernández Membibre is a television scriptwriter. She has been working for several years at Bambú Producciones, where she has been a scriptwriter in series such as “Las chica del cable” (Netflix) and “45 Revoluciones”. She has also been a script coordinator on “Now and Then” for Apple TV + and on “Land of Women” with Eva Longoria and Carmen Maura. Last year, she coordinated “La Favorita 1922”, Bambú's first fiction series for Telecinco.
During this workshop we will learn how the writers room of a series works. The birth of the idea, the construction of characters, what a plot map is for and what the process of writing a chapter is like. In addition, we will talk about the keys to a good writer-producer relationship.

Pilar Sánchez Díaz director of photography and producer from Madrid known for the feature films Chinas (2023) and Carmen y Lola (2018), both directed by Arantxa Echevarría where she has led this double facet. She has carried out the photography for other projects such as "De Caperucita a loba" (2023), by Chus Gutiérrez, or "The Spanish Dancer" (2015), by Mar Díaz, as well as in countless short films.
The direction of photography through the different genres, horror, comedy, period, customs. Light is capable of transforming space, faces and transmitting different sensations, creating different films and directing the viewer to feel a different world. Only by modifying the light we create a different world.
